The best part of being authentic is that there is no image to maintain.
You will delight some and disturb others.
None of it will effect the truth of your being.

Authenticity is an important VALUE to me. It is living as your TRUE SELF which in theory you would think we all would do, but in reality many of us struggle to actually be our authentic selves. Being authentic requires not only the act of being, but it more importantly is allowing others to see it as well.
What I love about authenticity is the fact that you may like or dislike someone for being as such. But what you see is what you get. The question begs to be asked then, do you like someone better when they are fake or appear to be acting authentic? If you dislike someone for their authenticity is that actually what you dislike or is it because you are uncomfortable with the truth that they stand in and they do it unapologetically?
Essentially then you are choosing comfort over discomfort and the real issue is that you yourself may have difficulty in expressing your own truth or authenticity and that is where your true discomfort lies. Within.
Where do you feel your most AUTHENTIC self? Where do you hide it? WHY?
